Birthday Party
Birthday Cake
Well it doesn’t seem like a year ago that Ben was born. Saying that he has grown so much lately. He is very aware of his surroundings and already knows how to smile just right so he gets what he wants.
I think all the attention, the cake and all the people overwhelmed him a bit, but it was his first birthday after all.
He really wasn’t sure about the cake until he put both hands into it! Then he seemed happy!
Last weekend Ben came to stay in Bangkok. We had such a lovely time.
On the Big Wheel

Friday Night we went to the Fair Ground. He loved the big wheel and all the flashing lights. They even had a small roller coaster for children which he loved.

Saturday was Aquarium Day. He was fascinated by all the things swimming behind glass. That was, until he fell fast asleep.

In the Evening we got him dressed up in his new suit. He looked so cute then out to dinner at a nice restaurant. He managed to try just about everything we ordered much to the waitresses amazement.
Nearly Walking
Not Sure about the Swing!
Sunday. A day to relax in the park. Ben managed a whole lap of the park just holding on to one hand. He is so close to walking alone now. The only thing he wasn’t sure about, was the swing. Give him time I am sure he will love it when he understand.
Bens new Wheels
Cha went out the other day and bought a present for Nong Lemon but she really isnt sure about it. But as for Ben………. He absolutely loves his new car.
What is really great is that its radio controlled so we can send him across the carpark and bring him back without any worries.
He found the horn on the second day which is permanantly fixed under his left hand. That was until he discovered that by holding the wheel and turning really hard he can overide the radio control…. It only took him three days to work this out. Me thinks he is going to driving a real car as soon as he can.
Kangaroos!
I have been in Australia for the last two weeks and thought a Kangaroo would make a good present for Ben. But he didn’t think much of that, he was much more interested in my phone. Never mind you can’t win them all..
Out and About
Its a realy pleasure to see him change so fast. He is waking up to his surroundings now. He is responding to people and copying hand gestures. He loves the water and his two front teeth are through now. Appart from that he is just keeping everyone very busy along with his Niece (Nong Lemon) who he seems to like bashing regularly. Typical little boy I think.

Into the Washine Machine!
Just 2 weeks ago he seemed light. Now he is positively heavy, gumming everything he can put in his mouth. We are constantly amazed at what he is eating, In spite of his front two lower teeth only just showing the list of what he eats is getting enormous! In fact we haven’t found anything yet he doesn’t like. Including Pizza, Cheese, Liver, Cookies and Veggies. Believe it or not he has also learned to drink from a glass much to the amazement of most folks who say he shouldn’t be doing that.
Shopping with the Boss!
Yesterday I turned around and he had my glass of beer in his hands and was busy tasting. He slept for about 3 hours after that!
Now his teeth are starting to come through and he is very close to walking unaided. He is also responding to our talking and although not making words he is making plenty of sounds.
Yes Dad! I Like it. You can buy it.
Very soon I can see he is going to be into everything, not sure if his is going to be fun or not.
Right now he is just absolutely lovely. Ahhhh…….
